I recently received the painting Lake Annette by Randy Hayashi from my husband for Christmas.
I wanted to share with you how thrilled I was with the painting and how perfectly Randy captured the shoreline of this very meaningful spot. Lake Annette has held a very special place in the hearts of my family over the last 45 years. It is where I took toddler steps when my parents first immigrated to Canada and worked at the Jasper Park Lodge and despite our family being scattered all over the world, Jasper and Lake Annette seem to repeatedly draw as all back together. The location by the "little tree" has been the site of some very memorable moments including my sister's wedding in 2015.
So my thanks to you, for working with my husband on such short notice to ensure this painting was commissioned by the right artist and in a timely fashion for Christmas. And please, pass on to Randy Hayashi how perfectly he depicted this very special place.

After visiting Mountain Galleries in Jasper and Banff, we subscribed to their newsletter and Instagram. While in Banff, we saw Fran Alexander’s paintings, we were amazed at the colour, detail and talent in her work. After reading one of the newsletters a few weeks after visiting the gallery, we browsed the website and emailed our inquiry. We curated a few pieces with Wendy and through digital installations we decided on our pieces. Throughout the process, it was a pleasure to work with Mountain Galleries and Wendy’s love for supporting local artists is proudly displayed in the galleries.
Since our paintings have arrived, our family has not stopped spending time in the room and taking “quick detours” to take a peek at them. I am excited to curate with Mountain Galleries in the near future.

I am so proud and happy to have a Linda Wilder painting in my home. I could not have accomplished this without the great service I received from Mountain Galleries. Back in July 2016 I was fortunate to be visiting the Banff gallery during a Linda Wilder exhibition.
Immediately I was captivated with Linda’s work and also the multitude of paintings to view in the gallery. I was quickly introduced to Linda and John who were both very receptive to my questions. It was an easy decision for me to proceed with a Linda Wilder painting commission!
I really appreciated the assistance and advice I received from everyone involved. When the painting arrived at my home I was excited and anxious to get it on my wall. WOW - we were so overwhelmed, when we received Charlie Easton's "Lake Louise Harmony"! What a masterpiece! We think no other painting would fit better than this one in our dining room.
We are really impressed about this work and also the framing is perfect. Many thanks to all of Mountain Galleries team, who contributed to the success of this project.
We have so many precious memories of the day we walked along Lake Louise - it was the perfect day (we even saw a bear at the end of the lake!). So nice that we will always be reminded of that day when looking at "Lake Louise Harmony."

As a longtime Whistler resident and collector this is my go to gallery in Whistler. This extensive collection of BC artists and First Nations carvings is wonderful and shows the impeccable taste of the curator. The staff is knowledgable, friendly and most helpful. If you have an interest in fine local artists, Mountain Galleries at the Fairmont Chateau Whistler should be a must visit.
