Now through November 30, 2026, Mountain Galleries presents a special exhibition of Desirée Patterson at the Rimrock Resort Hotel in Banff.

About Desirée Patterson
Desirée Patterson is a Canadian photographic artist whose work explores the connection between humanity and nature.
Through photography and digital composition, she transforms familiar landscapes and subjects into surreal scenes that are both beautiful and thought provoking. Her work encourages us to look more closely at the environments around us and consider how they are changing.
Anomaly
Patterson’s Anomaly series transforms mountain landscapes into unexpected compositions that feel both familiar and impossible.
Large scale works including Anomaly II and Anomaly III draw viewers into dramatic landscapes while exploring ideas of environmental change and fragility.
Point de Fusion
The Point de Fusion series focuses on ice, landscape, and transformation.
Works such as Point de Fusion III and Point de Fusion V are visually striking, but beneath their beauty is a reminder that even our most monumental natural environments are vulnerable to change.
Fauna
Fauna Moose and Fauna Bear bring familiar Canadian wildlife into Patterson’s contemporary photographic world.
Shown in Banff, where wildlife and wilderness are an important part of the surrounding landscape, the works encourage us to think about both the animals and the environments they depend upon.
